One of the main reasons people don’t go to events is because they don’t get value out of them and therefore, would prefer to spend time in the office focusing on billable work. We aren’t taught how to navigate events, for some, it just comes naturally, for others, it’s like pulling teeth. Networking is a skill that can be learned. When you know the formula and figure out what works for you, then you’ll get more value from attending an event, leading to future billable work.
